Research & Development

The R&D team are headed up by Dr Malcolm Macpherson and Paul Fletcher who, along with Dr Martin Howarth, are authors of the most accurate and well-established software for assessing light – “SOL” has a provenance spanning over 20 years being used in planning appeals and court cases alike. It has been employed on the majority of the largest schemes in Central London over the past two decades.

Presentation is key to understanding Daylight and Sunlight and Point 2’s innovative Quantum software platform provides the fastest, most accurate and flexible medium for visualising Right to Light and Daylight/Sunlight technical analyses.

Based at our regional office in Oxford, our R&D team are constantly looking at new ways to understand and measure light, as it is recognised that each Right to Light and Daylight/Sunlight situation is different. As a result we are continually developing new software to deal with unique and often complex issues, as well as developing bespoke solutions.

Quantum is Rights to Light Super Computing
